Prior to the establishment of Glassand, Madison County lacked any glass recycling infrastructure. Our services extend across multiple parishes within the county, catering to residents, and businesses by providing glass collection. Once gathered, we meticulously sort the glass by color and extract any plastic or metal elements, diverting them from landfills.
Converting Glass Into Eco-Friendly Sand & Gravel
After collection and sorting, our next step involves processing the glass at our local facility in Berea. We strip off all labels, metal and plastic then pulverize the glass creating fine glass sand.

Everything is done locally, no shipping out of state for processing. By keeping operations within the community, we're turning glass "waste" into a valuable resource that directly contributes to local recycling efforts.
Supplying Our Eco-Friendly, Recycled Glass Sand
Finally, we distribute the sand and cullet for a wide range of purposes. We strive to ingeniously incorporate our recycled materials into various facets of daily life. The potential applications for recycled glass sand are limitless!
